DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW)- A Darlington man was stabbed to death at a home on Union Street in Society Hill early Sunday morning after getting into an  argument with his relative.  

The victim has been identified as 31 year-old Damaal Renard Cook of Society Hill.

Sheriff Wayne Byrd says they received a call around 4:00 a.m. after police say James Kinley of Darlington got into an altercation and stabbed Cook to death.

Darlington County coroner J.T. Hardee says Cook was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Newberry.

Kinley is being held at the Darlington County detention center and is charged with murder. His arraignment will be Monday morning.
