FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) – Florence County Chief Deputy Glen Kirby says one man was shot and killed of of Highway 52 at a motel near Interstate 95 around 1 p.m. Sunday.

Kirby says the victim died en route to the hospital. 

Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken identifies the victim as Raheem Hawkins, 21, of Darlington. 

Hawkins was pronounced dead at an area hospital. 

Captain Mike Nunn with the Florence COunty Sheriff’s Office said Cedric Robinson, 22, of Florence is charged with one count of Murder, Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon and Receiving Stolen Goods. 

According to a press release, Robinson and Hawkins got into a dispute before the shooting took place.
