DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW) – A man was sentenced to 55 years in jail for the murder of Gary Walker almost two years ago.
Joey Gibson’s trial began on Tuesday for the August 2014 incident.
The sentence was handed down by Judge Roger Henderson on Thursday. Gibson will serve 50 years for the murder, and 5 years for possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Assistant Solicitor Patti Parker prosecuted and was assisted by Deputy Solicitor Kernard Redmond.
