The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man wanted in connection to a reported sexual assault of a minor.
Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd confirmed Thursday evening the arrest of Antwine Ham, 34, of Florence in the case. Byrd told News13 Ham was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Thursday and charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct, First Degree and Kidnapping after a tip to his office and assistance from the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Ham of assaulted a child between Shaw Drive and 14th Street in Hartsville on May 20.
Sheriff Byrd says SLED confirmed a DNA profile match which led to Ham’s arrest.
Ham is currently in the Darlington County Detention Center. A bond hearing is scheduled for Friday.
