No one was hurt when a large tree crashed into a house, as severe weather moved through Darlington County on Tuesday.

William Crawford and his daughter were inside the house on Elissa Drive when the tree fell. Both managed to crawl out of the house.

“The ceiling was falling out of the house,” he said. “Things were shaking up all around us and we were just blessed that nothing fell on us. We were like we were in a cave the two of us were back there and nothing hit us and we just thank God for that.”

The American Red Cross is currently assisting the family as they work to clean up the damage. Crawford said he did have insurance.
