LAMAR, SC (WBTW) – The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Lamar area Wednesday afternoon.
Lt. Robert Kilgo says investigators believe a person shot into a vehicle on Sandbox Rd. in Lamar, injuring one person. The victim’s vehicle was then driven to Northcutt Rd. in the Hartsville area, where it was abandoned. From there, the victim was transported by a separate personal vehicle to a local hospital, confirms Lt. Kilgo.
The victim received non life-threatening injuries.
Deputies did not give a suspect description.
