DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – Darlington County deputies caught a suspect in a SLED pursuit that began in Chesterfield County.
According to Cpl. Lynsee Carroll, with the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Office, a car chase began Wednesday night off Middendorf Road in the Hartsville area of Chesterfield County after a “drug related incident.”
The driver reportedly crashed his car and ran away. SLED, K-9 units, and a bloodhound tracking team responded, but the search was later called off after the man wasn’t found.
Darlington County deputies caught the suspect on Thursday.
According to Lt. Robert Kilgo, with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies with the Special Incident Response Team took Claude Junior Moore, IV in to custody around 1:40 p.m. at a home in the Lydia area.
