DARLINGTON, S.C. (WBTW) – A man was found dead inside his home in Darlington on Saturday afternoon, and the coroner ruled the death a homicide.
Coroner Todd Hardee said someone found the man in the home on Cool Brook Dr. around 2 p.m. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Hardee said.
On Monday, Hardee identified the man as Furman Holloway, 76, of Darlington.
Sheriff Wayne Byrd says 19-year-old Jason Hazel is charged with murder. The Sheriff says Hazel lives in the home the man was found dead inside on Cool Brook Drive and the incident appears to be domestic related.
This incident remains under investigation by the Darlington County Coroner’s Office, State Law Enforcement Division and the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office, Hardee said.
