MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The official South Carolina Hall of Fame board of trustees have announced the 2015 inductees, one contemporary and one deceased. Darla Dee Moore, a partner of the private investment firm Rainwater, Inc., was selected by the board. The late Susan Pringle Frost, a preservationist and suffragist, is also being recognized for her accomplishments.
The Official S.C. Hall of Fame is located in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, where attendees are able to learn more about all past inductees.

Darla Dee Moore is a native of Lake City. She is a partner with the private investment firm Rainwater, Inc., and has given millions of dollars in gifts to institutions that benefit the public. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Moore was making more money than many others investors in the industry. This led Fortune Magazine to name Moore one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business in 1998.
Susan Pringle Frost (Jan. 21, 1873 – Oct. 6, 1960) was a Charleston native. She became actively involved in women’s club work and the women’s suffrage movement. Frost was the first president of the Charleston Equal Suffrage League. She also founded what became the Preservation Society of Charleston, and was an early advocate of zoning to preserve old iron and woodwork.
The South Carolina Hall of Fame—dedicated Feb. 11, 1973, by Gov. John C. West—was created to recognize and honor those contemporary and past citizens who have made outstanding contributions to South Carolina’s heritage and progress. On Sept. 21, 2001, Gov. Jim Hodges signed into law a bill designating the South Carolina Hall of Fame as the state’s official Hall of Fame.
