NORTH MYRTLE BEACH – For autograph seekers, there are few better places to hang out than Monday After the Masters. Hootie and the Blowfish’s annual charity tournament at Barefoot Resort’s Dye Course attracts celebrities and pro golfers to the Grand Strand each April.
But the band’s lead singer won’t sign just anything, as one fan found out Monday. Alex Chestnut tossed a Clemson hat toward Darius Rucker as he greeted fans on the No. 10 tee box. Rucker, a graduate of South Carolina, threw it back and said “I don’t sign that.”
It led to lots of laughter from Chestnut and other fans nearby.
