RALEIGH, N.C. – A Cary teen whose mugshot went viral and earned her the nickname “cute mugshot girl” in December 2014 is again in trouble with the law.
Records show that Alysa Suguro Bathrick, 18, was arrested in Raleigh on March 2 for shoplifting concealment goods on Jan. 26.
The address of the arrest is listed as 3301 Hammond Road, which is the location of the Wake County Detention Center.

Bathrick’s previous mugshot, from a Nov. 19, 2014, arrest on drug charges, ignited a social media firestorm when she tweeted the photo along with the message, “Surrendered myself at 7 a.m., got released at 11:30 a.m. … And my mugshot’s cute.”
Her November 2014 arrest was on charges of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, as well as maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances.
A tweet sent by Bathrick indicated her arrest may have been for selling the anxiety medication Xanax.
