CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW)- The Conway Fire Department responded to a fire in the downtown area around 5:00 Sunday evening.
Assistant Chief Jeremy Carter with the Conway Fire Department says the fire started in an apartment and office building located at 319 Beaty Street.
The building is near J&J Cafeteria and Carter says some smoke did go into the restaurant.
No one was home at the time of the fire and Carter says no one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
