CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Firefighters with Horry County Fire Rescue battled a blaze just off of Winter Rain Drive in Conway Saturday afternoon.
According to Battalion Chief Brian VanAernem, crews tamed a two acre brush fire off of Winter Rain Drive near Hallie Martin Road in Conway. The call came in to emergency dispatch just after 3 p.m. Saturday.
The South Carolina Forestry Association is assisting fire crews and two plows were requested to help in the operation. No structures are currently threatened by the fire, VanAernem added.
Crews have since cleared the scene. No word on a cause.
