FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – One person is dead after a single vehicle crash in Florence County early Thursday morning.
The Highway Patrol says the crash happened on Hicks Road in Coward just before 2 a.m. Thursday. Troopers say the driver of a 2009 Saturn lost control, and ran into a ditch causing the car to overturn.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identifies the driver as Steven Michael Rouse, 27, of Coward. The victim was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the crash, troopers report.
The incident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Florence County Coroner’s Office.
