Coroner rules death of 35-year-old Florence man a homicide

The coroner has identified a body discovered in Florence early Sunday.

Raleigh Jett, 35, was found dead at 2475 Sand Pit Road, according to county Coroner Keith von Lutcken. 

The death is being investigated as a homicide, Lutcken reported.

The body is scheduled to be autopsied at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. 

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office and coroner’s office are investigating.
