TIMMONSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – Three people are dead and two others injured after a shooting in Timmonsville early Thursday morning, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Florence County Chief Deputy Glen Kirby says the shooting happened around 1:45 a.m. in Timmonsville on Chaney Grove Road.
The shooter entered a home and shot five people, Kirby confirms. Three of the victims died on scene and a fourth victim was airlifted to Charleston for treatment.
Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken says 39-year-old Cheresse Lutricia Jackson and her two daughters were killed. The children were identified as 11-year-old Breyanna Priscilla Jackson and 14-year-old Nykerria Shanyia Jackson.
The woman’s other 4-year-old daughter is alive at the hospital and her 43-year-old husband was taken to the hospital and is okay, Kirby says.
Kirby says deputies tracked the suspected shooter in Bishopville after someone in the home gave a description of the alleged killer. Chief Deputy Kirby identified the suspect as Antwain Adams and also confirmed that Adams knew the family.
Charges filed against Adams have not yet been released. Officials have not commented on a motive for the shooting.
