FLORENCE COUNTY (WBTW) – One person died in a crash in Florence County Saturday afternoon .
According to Lance Cpl. Matt Southern with South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2008 Ford Fusion was heading East on West Camp Branch Road near Cleveland Road in Scranton. The crash happened around 1:30 p.m.
Southern says the Fusion ran off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and overturned throwing two people from the car. The two involved in the crash were taken to McLeod Hospital, where a woman later died from her injuries.
Florence County coroner, Keith Von Lutcken identifies the woman who died as Marcie Rourk, 41, of Coward.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
