An Horry County coroner has identified a victim after a body was found in a ditch in Longs on Wednesday.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler identified the victim as Rockeiem Young, 22, and said Young died from a gunshot. Young was staying in the Tabor City, North Carolina area.
According to Captain John Harrelson, with the Horry County Police Department, officers responded to a body found in a ditch on Circle Bay Road in Longs on Wednesday morning. Police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
Harrelson said more information will be released when available.
