Coroner identifies SC boy who died after being thrown from Bobcat

A toddler was killed after being thrown from a front-end loader in Cherokee County on Monday.

The coroner’s office says Kameron Lee Hall of Hall Road died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

The 3-year-old was thrown from the Bobcat driven by a relative around 6 p.m. on Dry Fork Road, according to investigators.

“The toddler was seated between the legs of his grandfather who was operating the Bobcat loader…” Coroner Dennis Folwer said.  “The bucket of the unit was loaded with brick and toppled forward when it became off balance ejecting the child from the seat.”

Fowler told WSPA that Kameron’s head hit the bucket of the loader before hitting the ground.

Kameron was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The little boy’s death has been ruled an accident.

“This is truly a tragedy for this family,” Fowler added.
