One person died and another was injured after a crash between a motorcycle and a car in Georgetown county.
A motorcyclist went to the hospital and later died. One person was injured and taken to the hospital. No information on their condition is available.
The driver of the second car and passengers weren’t hurt and everyone was wearing seatbelts, according to SCHP.
Georgetown County Coroner Kenneth M. Johnson says the accident happened on U.S. 17 and Alston Place in Pawley’s Island on Saturday. He identified the man who died as 23-year-old Christopher Joseph Riecke, of Pawleys Island. Rieceke died at Waccamaw Community Hospital of multiple trauma sustained in the accident.
