LAKE VIEW, SC (WBTW) A man in Lake View died while trying to clear a downed tree from Hurricane Matthew.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as 70-year-old Billy Miller Wednesday.
The tree the man was trying to clear was already down and laying across a telephone cable. While he was cutting a limb off the tree a cable came back, hit him and sent him into the air.
The coroner says the man was pronounced dead at McLeod Health.
