DILLON, SC (WBTW) – Tuesday Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley released the identities of the two people who died in a house fire Monday night.
According to Dillon County Sheriff’s Captain Cliff Arnette, the fire was called in around 11 p.m. Monday for a home on Roberson Street in the Riverdale Community, just off SC 9.
Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victims as 69-year-old Frank “Dallas” Jones and his brother, Joseph Jones, 50. Both men were from Dillon County.
The other victim was taken to McLeod Hospital in Dillon and then flown to the Augusta Burn Center.
Officials with SLED, Dillon County Sheriff’s Department and the Dillon County Fire Department are investigating the fire.
The cause of death has not yet been announced.
