CONWAY, S.C. (WBTW) -A ceremony was held Thursday afternoon in Conway to honor 20 veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, and more recent conflicts.
Each recipient received a quilt made by a member of the Conway Quilt Guild to thank them for their service.
“We just want to say thank you for their service that they did for us and it’s the least we can do to honor them with a quilt,” said Deanna Holter of Quilts of Valor.
The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover veterans touched by war with the comfort of a handmade quilt.
