UPDATE: Long Avenue at Grier Swamp is now open. Drivers have been asked to use caution when driving through this area as water levels have been fluctuating and may cross the road again.
CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The Conway Police Department is asking drivers to avoid Long Avenue because of flooding.
According to Sgt. Darren Alston, Long Avenue at Grier Swamp is closed in both directions due to water on the roadway. Drivers are asked to find an alternate route and to not attempt to drive through the water.
No other roads were mentioned in the announcement from Conway police.
