CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Conway Medical Center announced a “heart health” partnership with Duke Health Thursday morning.
The affiliation allows the Duke Heart Network to work closely with cardiovascular teams at Conway Medical Center and strengthen the heart care of the community.
“It really is a culmination of a lot of months’ work of doing our due diligence in figuring out who is the right affiliate partner for us, to help us bring the absolute best care to this community,” says Dr. Paul Richardson.
Conway Medical Center is now one of two Duke Heart Network affiliates in South Carolina and is the only one in the Grand Strand region.
“Duke is a cutting edge leader in cardiovascular medicine, and they will be able to bring that expertise here to our facility, and we’ll be able to partake in that,” adds Dr. Richardson. “So, that’s really what sets us apart, and frankly, it puts us as a market leader and provides us a very unique advantage.”
