A Conway man previously charged in a deadly hit and run was sentenced Friday to 18 months behind bars.
In May of 2017, Bradley Allen Mogel was charged with hit and run resulting in a fatality, following a crash involving a moped at Highway 701 and Pecan Grove Boulevard. Terry Allan Morehead of Conway died in the crash.
According to the Horry County Public Index, Mogel began his sentence Friday for ‘reckless homicide, death results within 3 years, caused by injury from vehicle’. He was ordered to report to J. Reuben Long Detention Center Friday at 5 p.m.
Online booking records suggest he was booked at 5:33 p.m. Friday.
Horry County Solicitor Jimmy Richardson tells News13 that Mogel’s penalty range was 0-10 years. Richardson says Mogel will be given credit for time served.
It’s not clear how much time Mogel already spent behind bars prior to his trial.
