CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The state attorney general’s office says a man from Conway is behind bars for more than a dozen charges related to child pornography.
A press release states that 62-year-old John T Kondes faces 18 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor. Each charge is a felony, punishable by up to ten years in prison on each count.
Investigators with the Internet crimes Against Children Task Force, the Horry county Sheriff’s Office, the Attorney General’s Office and the Conway Police Department were involved in the case.
Kondes is accused of distributing and possessing child porn, according to the atorney general’s office. He was previously convicted of similar offenses in 2014 in New Jersey.
