A 50-year-old man faces charges after police claim he reportedly touched a teenager inappropriately and said he wanted to marry her.
The allegations were detailed in an Horry County Police Department report regarding the arrest of John Tyrone Page, of Conway.
Page is charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct and disseminating harmful material or exhibiting harmful performance to minors, according to online booking records.
According to the report, the victim claims a staff member approached her in early 2017 and began making inappropriate comments to her while a resident at Seacoast Academy. Throughout the next several months, the victim told police the worker, who was identified as Page, continued with advances, which included allegedly taking pictures of her, touching her inappropriately and sending her inappropriate pictures.
The police report further states the victim told police he bought her candy, gave her a shirt, got her an engagement ring and told her that he loved her.
Page was arrested on April 17, according to online booking records. He remains in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
