CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A 49-year-old Conway man has been arrested and charged with having child pornography.
Hoyt Wayne Norris, Jr. faces 10 charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, third degree, a felony punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count. He was arrested on Feb. 21.
Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to Norris. Investigators said Norris possessed multiple files of child pornography.
Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office made the arrest. Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office, also a member of the state’s ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
Norris was book at the J. Reuben LongDetention Center and released on $5,000 bond.
