CONWAY, SC (WBTW)– The City of Conway celebrated the grand opening of Sherwood Forest Park phase 2 on Thursday.
According to the press release, the new phase of the park includes two shelters, a restroom, a quarter of a mile walking trail, a nine hole disk golf course, a 12 station fitness course, landscaping and additional parking.
Phase 2 was built on the site of the old city swimming pool. The three acre addition of phase 2 brings the total acreage of Sherwood Forest Park to four and a half acres.
The ribbon cutting celebration was presented Conway Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
