MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Two groups of 80 potential contestants auditioned on Tuesday in Myrtle Beach for the Wheel of Fortune.
The auditions were by invitation only. Those who were invited had tried out at WBTW Wheelmobile auditions at the Riptydz Oceanfront Grill in November.
Producers said they were looking for people who would not get rattled by playing the game in front of a studio audience with Pat Sajak standing next to them.
Those persons who scored the best could be invited to Los Angeles as actual contestants.
Contestants had to demonstrate their skills by playing the game and take a short, written test.
