Community members celebrated the opening of a new Little Free Library in Conway on Saturday.
CREATE! Conway opened its third mini library in the city at 1119 Naomi Avenue. Mayor Barbara Blain Bellamy had the honor of cutting the ribbon herself. Organizers say neighbors there have volunteered to be stewards of the library.
The other two Little Free Library locations are1821 Racepath Ave and 708 12th Ave, CREATE! Conway’s office. Though the idea behind the library is “take a book, leave a book”, volunteers say people who don’t have a book to leave are still welcome to come borrow.
“There’s many neighborhoods where the children can’t get to the library. So this gets book in every home. Every home in this neighborhood can have a book,” said Barbara Streeter with CREATE! Conway.
If you would like to donate books to the Little Free Library, you can drop books off at the CREATE! Conway office at 708 12th Avenue.
