PAMPLICO – Hannah-Pamplico baseball and softball each overcame an early deficit Thursday to advance past the first round in the Class A playoffs.
The Red Raiders baseball team fell behind Carvers Bay 3-0 in the first inning but rallied to reclaim the lead in the bottom half of the inning. H-P went on to claim a run-rule victory, 20-4 in five innings.
The Raiders softball squad also trailed 3-0 after one inning against Green Sea-Floyds. But they chipped away, took the lead for good in the fourth and ultimately scored eight unanswered to win 8-3.
