DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – More than fifteen hundred runners donned their shiniest neon shirts, shoes and tutus for the Darlington color vibe’s first race of the year at the Darlington Raceway.

Participants were blasted with color at the starting line. But after the race runners who registered got their own package of any color they wanted for a big color party.

Organizers say the neat thing about the event is that the color is non-toxic and can be easily washed off.

“So it’s just easy to come here and have fun and get some color on you and just kind of let loose. But then you can go home and clean up real easily like it never happened, it’s kind of nice,” said Color Vibe Run 5k organizer Lindsay Judd.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the Harvest Hope Food Bank.
