You may have noticed a little more color at the beach Saturday, as 2,000 runners came out for the Myrtle Beach Color Run.
Athletes circled the track at the Myrtle Beach Speedway and at each kilometer runners were covered in various colors.
At the end of the course there was a dance party and even more colors being thrown, something that attracts participants.
“We’re currently just having a great time, doing the 5k, completely covered. Just enjoying ourselves while the sun’s out,” said runner Iyiola Awosika, originally from London.
Part of the proceeds from the color run will go to the Surf Dreams Foundation.
The group helps under priveledged kids take to the waves.
