MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) – Two years after a triple slaying led to tighter security during the Atlantic Beach Bikefest those killings remain unsolved.

The Sun News reports that Myrtle Beach police are asking for the public’s help in solving the deaths at a motel during Memorial Day weekend in 2014.

One person was shot and killed outside while two were shot and killed on the second floor. Seven other people were wounded during various shootings that weekend.

Last year additional safety measures were implemented including extra law officers, sidewalk barricades and a 23-mile loop to control traffic.

Those measures will be in effect again this coming weekend when officials say as many as 400,000 people will be in town for the rally and the kickoff of the summer beach season.
