CONWAY (WBTW) – Coastal Carolina defeated Campbell 23-4 in seven innings on Saturday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium. The Chants hit a school record seven home runs in the win on Senior Day.
Connor Owings was 3-for-3 to push his season average to .405 with four RBI, three runs scored and hit his 15th home run. Zach Remillard was 2-for-6 with three RBI and hit his league-leading 16th home run. Tyler Chadwick hit his seventh home run, drove in three and scored three times.
Coastal Carolina (40-15, 21-3 Big South) will be the top seed at next week’s Big South Championship, played May 24-28 in at the Lexington County (S.C.) Baseball Stadium. The Chants will face Radford in the opening round on Tuesday at 4:30 pm.
