CONWAY (WBTW) – Coastal Carolina defeated Presbyterian 12-3 on Sunday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium. The Chants swept Presbyterian and have now won seven games in a row.
Coastal scored five runs in the sixth inning and four in the seventh to pull away. Leading the way for the Chanticleers was Zach Remillard. He was 2-for-5 with a three-run home run. Connor Owings was 2-for-4 with a double and home run to extend his hit streak to 16 games.
CCU pitcher Tyler Poole pitched well but did not factor in the decision. He allowed three unearned runs over 5.2 innings.
Coastal is back in action Tuesday night. The Chants play North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Game time is 6 pm.
