CAROLINA FOREST (WBTW) – Coastal Carolina players, fans and coaches gathered at Handleys pub on Monday morning to see where the Chants would end up in the NCAA Tournament.
Coastal will play in the Raleigh regional as a #2 seed. They’re matched up with #3 seed St. Mary’s (California). Their first game is on Friday at 2 p.m. The Chanticleers and Gales have never met on baseball diamond.
Coastal Carolina will compete in the program’s 14th Regional since 2001 and 15th overall, posting an 18-25 record in Regional play.
In other baseball news, Clemson and South Carolina will host regionals on their home field. South Carolina plays Rhode Island Friday at 7 p.m. Clemson also plays on Friday night at 7. The Tigers will host Western Carolina.
