CONWAY –

Coastal Carolina University Director of Athletics Matt Hogue has released the Chanticleers’ 2015 football schedule. The 13th season of Coastal Carolina football – the fourth under three-time FCS Head Coach of the Year finalist Joe Moglia – will feature some familiar foes, three new teams and a rematch of the 2010 NCAA playoff game played in Brooks Stadium.

The Chanticleers will open the season with road games at Furman (Sept. 5) and at South Carolina State (Sept. 12).

Coastal Carolina will play its home opener Sept. 19, the first of four consecutive home games, by welcoming Western Illinois.

Bryant University, ranked among the FCS top 25 for four weeks during the 2014 season, will make its first trip to Conway on Sept. 26. The following weekend (Oct. 3), Coastal will host Alabama A&M for the first time as well.

The Chanticleers open Big South play by hosting Presbyterian College on Oct. 10.

After a bye week (Oct. 17), Coastal will hit the road for a two-game swing. The Chants will travel to West Long Branch, N.J., to face Monmouth on Oct. 24, and then make the short trip to Charleston Southern the following weekend (Oct. 31).

Coastal Carolina will play back-to-back home games in early November as Gardner-Webb (Nov. 7) and new Big South member Kennesaw State (Nov. 14) will journey to Brooks Stadium.

The Chanticleers will close the 2015 regular season on Nov. 21 at Liberty.
