CONWAY (WBTW) – The Coastal Carolina baseball team lost to Ohio State 6-4 on Saturday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium.
Coastal starter Alex Cunningham pitched 3 2/3 innings. He gave up five earned runs. Cameron Pearcey was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Chanticleers.
Ohio State scored five runs in the fourth inning. Brady Cherry and Nick Sergakis hit home runs for the Buckeyes during that rally. Cherry homered again in the eighth.
Coastal plays again tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m. The Chants host Duke.
