CONWAY (WBTW) – The Coastal Carolina baseball team lost 13-10 to North Carolina State on Saturday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium.

The two teams combined for nine home runs.

NC State took control in the eighth inning. The team knocked in three homers to score four runs and break open a 7-7 tie game. Preston Palmeiro was 4-for-4 with four RBIs for the Wolfpack.

Coastal was led by Zach Remillard and G.K. Young. Remillard was 3-for-5 with a double, two home runs and three RBIs while Young was 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

Coastal Carolina will be back in action Sunday. The Chanticleers host fourth-ranked and defending national champion Virginia at 1 p.m.
