Conway, S.C. (WBTW) – With fall practice in full swing, Coastal Carolina baseball head coach Gary Gilmore has announced the dates for the Chanticleers’ two fall exhibition contests at Clemson and versus UNC Wilmington.
New this year, is an NCAA rule that allows for two scrimmages against outside competition in the fall season.
The Chants’ first fall exhibition game will take place at Clemson on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m. ET at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
CCU will then host its second allowable fall contest versus UNC Wilmington on Sunday, Nov. 4, at noon (12 p.m. ET) at Springs Brooks Stadium.
The Chants will wrap up its 2018 fall practice season with the annual Chant World Series on Nov. 8, 9 and 11 at Springs Brooks Stadium.
Last season, the Chants went 43-19 overall, won both the 2018 Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament championships, advanced to an NCAA Regional for the 16th time and hosted the NCAA Conway Regional for the fourth time in the program’s history (2007, 2008, 2010 and 2018).
