Clemson’s Tillman Hall vandalized, called “racist”

Clemson police are investigating vandalism at Tillman Hall Monday morning.

The report says several messages were spray painted in red on the brick at the back of Tillman.

The messages were “RIP Sen, Coker”, “RIP Send Pickney” and “TIllman was a violent racist.”

On the back wall further toward Godfrey Hall was written “Black must remain subordinate or be exterminated – Tillman” and “Ask Ingrid Palmquist about her ancestor Tillman”
