CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) – Clemson hit seven home runs, including Seth Beer’s go-ahead grand slam after trailing 6-0, to beat Western Carolina 24-10 on Friday in the NCAA Tournament.

The Tigers (43-18), seeded seventh overall, set a tournament mark with their seven homers in winning their 10th straight game. None of the blasts were bigger than Beer’s 17th of the season, which put Clemson up for good 9-6 in its 10-run inning.

Chris Okey and Mike Triller had two homers apiece while Eli White and Chris Williams had the others. It led to the most runs ever scored in an NCAA Tournament game by the Tigers.

Charlie Barnes (6-4) earned the win despite giving up eight hits and nine runs.

Clemson, which won the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament last week, takes on Oklahoma State in the winner’s bracket on Saturday. Western Carolina (30-30) faces an elimination game with Nebraska.
