CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – On Wednesday, police released that the City of Conway licensed the CodeRED Community Notification System to send out important information to city residents.
The CodeRED system can send emergency notifications, from evacuation notices to missing child alerts via cell phone, land line, by text, and even email.
According to the release from Lt. Selena Small with Conway police, people already in the CodeRED system will receive a test alert today. Anyone else interested in the system can enroll on the city’s website at www.cityofconway.com.
Residents without Internet access may call the Horry County Public Information Office at (843) 915-5390, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to give their information over the phone to be added to the CodeRED system.
