The Chesterfield Rams enjoyed a lot of success in 2017 finishing 9-3 and advancing to the 2nd round of the Class 2A playoffs. 1st year head coach Michael Mains now has to replace 8 of 11 starters on the defensive side, but their big strength will be their offensive playmakers at running back and wide receiver.

The McBee Panthers missed the postseason in 2017 after posting a subpar 2-8 record. This coming after 3 seasons with a combined 32 wins and 3 playoff appearances. First year head coach Johnny Kline will aim to get the Panthers back to the playoffs with 13 starters coming back led by senior Tyrece Wright.
