MYRTLE BEACH – Pin-Chieh Chen made a memorable catch and double play, but that was one of few highlights for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Tuesday in a 3-1 loss to Winston-Salem.
Chen jumped up to rob Trey Michalczewski of a home run in the third inning. He then relayed the ball in to get a runner at first for a double play to end the inning.
But the Pelicans offense, which twice scored in double figures during a recent road trip to Carolina, managed just one run as Myrtle Beach dropped its second straight game.
