CONWAY- Coastal Carolina hits the road for three games at No. 9 Florida State this weekend, and the series has a special meaning for one of the Chanticleers’ stars.

It’s a trip back home for sophomore Michael Paez. The Coastal Carolina infielder grew up in Miami, and as you might guess, he’s not a fan of the Seminoles.

“Growing up in Miami, the Seminoles have always been a hated team of mine but I mean you just have to play like any other game,” Paez said.

“It’s going to be fun. I’m sure I’m going to have a little chip on my shoulder, I mean I know a couple kids on the team so it’ll be fun playing against them as well.”

Paez and the Chanticleers are 3-1 against ranked opponents so far this season.
