ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Amanda Coffer drained a deep 3-pointer as time expired to lift No. 8 seed Campbell past No. 9 seed Coastal Carolina, 67-64 Thursday afternoon in the first round of the 2016 Big South Tournament in Asheville. Coffer finished with a game-high 29 points and four 3-pointers, and tied the first round record with four blocks.
Coastal Carolina was led by Ced Gibson’s 26 points and received 20 points from Jas Adams. The Chanticleers rallied from an 18-point deficit to eventually tie the game at 64-64 on free throws with seconds remaining.
